MR. J.H. STRONG'S FATHER DIED SEPTEMBER 30th

Mr. Robert H. Strong, father of Mr. Jos. H. Strong of this city, died last 
Sunday at the home of the deceased in LaGrange after a long period of 
declining strength.  He was 87 years of age and the father of seven sons and 
two daughters. Mr. Strong was a Confederate veteran, a long time member of the 
Baptist church and was one of the most respected citizens of LaGrange.  The 
funeral and interment was in LaGrange on Monday afternoon. In addition to Mr. 
J.H. Strong and family, there attended from this place Dr. W.P. Hines and 
Mesdames M.W. Carlisle, J.C. Wright and A.J. Langley.  Dr. Hines had a part in 
the services.
