A.G. Whitaker 77 prominent retired Troup County farmer who had resided here for 
the past two years with a daughter Mrs. Lawrence Teaver at 110 Orient St died 
5:45 pm yesterday at City-County Hospital following a serious illness of three 
months Funeral will be held 11 am tomorrow at Harmony Methodist Church of Troup 
County near Abbottsford with the Rev A. Lively pastor of First Methodist Church 
Covington assisted by the Rev Dunagan pastor of Harmony Church and the Rev A.C. 
Holbrook pastor of Eastern Vernon Baptist Church conducting the service Burial 
Church Funeral charge. Survivors include three other daughters Mrs. Askew Davis 
and Mrs. William Phillips both of LaGrange and Mrs. Bob Ogles by Live Oak Fla a 
sister Mrs. Minnie Pike Athens, six grandchildren six great-grandchildren and a 
number of nieces and nephews.
