Died, June 27th, at LaGrange Georgia, Stephen Elliott, youngest child of C. H. C. and L. A. Willingham, aged one year, eight months and twenty-four days. Made in baptism a member of Christ, the child of God, and an inheritor of the kingdon of Heaven "Little Stevie" has been taken from "this present wicked world" and carried by the angels to be "ever with the Lord," "Of such," said the Saviour, "is the kingdom of heaven." It is hard to give up a much-loved child. Around this little one, parental love had entwined itself with unusual fondness. The name he bore-Stephen Elliott-a name "like a precious ointment poured forth"-was itself an endearment. It was the hopes of the parents, that their little one might be called of God to minister to His altar. But "His thoughts are not our thoughts." May those "who weep be as though they wept not," for "it is well with the child."
