T. Woodyard Dies Suddenly Funeral Services Held This Afternoon At St. John Church Henry T. Woodyard, Jr., member of a pioneer family of this section, and overseer of Calumet plant of Callaway Mills, died suddenly Saturday night about 11:10 o’clock, his death attributed to a heart attack. Funeral services were held this afternoon at 4 o’clock at St. John Methodist church with the Rev Carl McGrady, pastor, and the Rev. J. E. Pate, pastor of the East LaGrange Baptist church, officiating. Burial followed in Shadowlawn with Hunter-Owen in charge and with J. T. Kirby, J. W. Lewis, W. J. Haynes, Y. T. Abernathy, C. B. Budd, J. C. Hurston, serving as active pallbearers. An honorary escort was composed of W. H. Milam, Ralph Clark, W. F. Jarrell, Paul Hutchinson, C. L. Taggert, F. C. Johnson, Casper Lehmann, Lewis Price, J. P. Hubbard, Frank Hutchinson. Mr. Woodyard was 51 years of age and was born in West Point the son of the late Judge Henry T. Woodyard and the late Annie Roby Woodyard. Judge Woodyard served as ordinary for Troup County for 16(sic) years, being one of the most influential citizens of LaGrange, where he moved upon being elected to office. The deceased was overseer of the carding and spinning departments of Calumet Plant of Callaway Mills and was an influential member of the East LaGrange Baptist church. He was held in high esteem by a wide circle of business associates and friends. Surviving are: his wife, the former Miss Estelle Lanier of Talladega, Ala.; a daughter, Miss Estelle Woodyard of LaGrange; two sons, Henry T. Woodyard III who is attending Officers Candidate School at Ft. Monmouth, N.
