Thompson-Lanier Wessing to be Social Event of Today

The marriage of Miss Bertie Thompson and Campbell Brown Lanier will be an event 
of social interest to a wide circle of friends, taking place at 4 o'clock this 
afternoon at 2753 Peachtree road, the home of the bride-elect's parents, Mr. 
and Mrs. J. T. Thompson.  The ceremony will be performed by Rev. S. P. Speigle, 
of West Point, and will be witnessed by intimate friends and relatives.

Miss Louise Wicker will sing a group of songs, including "At Dawning" 
and "Sweetest Story Ever Told."  Mrs. A. L. Cumming will play the wedding march.

James Combs and J. H. Walker will act as groomsmen, while the bridesmaides are 
Misses Edith Lanier and Eleanor Paulk.  Bowar (sic - s/b Bomar) Olds will act 
as best man for Mr. Lanier and Miss Ione Thompson, a sister of the bride-elect, 
will be maid of honor.  The flower girl is Miss Guillian Lanier and little 
George Kirston will be the ring bearer.

Following the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Thompson will entertain at an informal 
reception, and assisting in receiving will be Mrs. J. Smith Lanier, of West 
Point; Mr. and Mrs. W. I. Paulk, of Ocilla; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Joiner, Miss 
Ruth Lanier, of West Point; Miss Martha Paulk and Miss Carol Thompson.

Mr. Lanier and his bride will reside in Egan Park [Fulton Co.].

Campbell Brown Lanier (Sr) was the son of James Smith Lanier and Nellie Belle 
Brown.
