 Randy Matthew Long, 49, of Ashburn died Oct. 17, 2008 at Tift Regional Medical 
Center in Tifton.
 Born Dec. 9, 1958 in Colquitt County to Merna Bowers Long of Ashburn and the 
late Clarence Long, he earned his Bachelor Degree in business administration in 
2008 aft 31 years as an aluminum extrusion manager and consultant. As a single 
father, he reared two of his daughters who are college students in Illinois. He 
loved boxing and golf. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one niece.
 Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Kathleen Cola Long of 
Ashburn; five daughters and two sons-in-law, Christie and Len Moore and Melissa 
and Zack Thomas all of Nashville, Nikki Long and Sunni Long, both of Marion, 
IL, Kourtney Cola of Herrin, IL; two sons, Michael Mulch of Akron, OH, Brandon 
H. Grove of Durham, NC; three granddaughters, Hannah Moore, Natalie Moore, 
Elizabeth Moore; two grandsons, Levi Thomas, Keven Milkulich; sister and 
brother-in-law, Glenda and Dickie Hutto; four brothers and sisters-in-law, 
Stanley and Judy Long, Manis and Sharon Long, Ronnie and Glenda Long and Dale 
and Reginia Long; several nieces and nephews.
 A memorial service was held on Oct. 19 at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Albritton-
Beaumont Funeral Directors with Dr. Danny Ray officiating. A private interment 
will be held at a later date.
 Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors was in charge of arrangements.
