The above officers for the Twiggs Cavalry were commissioned
8th Feby. 1836, by his Excellency Wm. Schley, Milledgeville,
Geo.

At an election this day held in the town of Marion, Twiggs
County, Georgia, for the officers of the Twiggs County
Cavalry, We do certify That on counting out the votes that
James Harrison was duly and Unanimously elected captain of
the Twiggs County Cavalry, and that Ethelred Griffin was
duly elected first Lieutenant, Twiggs County Cavalry,
William C. Harrison was elected as second Lieutenant and
Hayden Hughes, Cormt. Georgia :               

We certify the above and foregoing to be true given Twiggs
County: under our hand and seal this 4th day of February,
