The bodies of Curtis Little, 64, and Lucille Scarborough Little, 57, were discovered about 10:30am Thursday by a daughter at their Twiggs County residence on Georgia 96, Jeffersonville, said Glynn Meeks, agent in charge of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation office in Dublin. Though the investigation is incomplete, Meeks said the deaths will probably be ruled a murder-suicide because there is "no indication that anyone else was in the house besides the two of them". Curtis little, a retired Twiggs County equipment operator, was discovered in a chair in the living room of the residence with a gunshot wound to the chest. A 30.06 caliber rifle was found near the body, Meeks said. His wife was found on the kitchen floor with a gunshot wound to the lower chest, he said. Meeks said an investigation indicated the woman, an employee of American Mills in Gordon, was shot as she entered the house through the kitchen sometime between 8am and 10:26 am, when the incident was reported to the Twiggs County Sheriff's department. Her body was found near the kitchen door. Meeks said the according to a grandson, who had spent the night with the couple, Lucille Little left the house about 7:50am, Thursday to take the child home.
