Georgia Ann (maiden name Davis) Asbell was born 2-27-1860 and died 1-22-1940 (GA
DC# 8359) and is buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Twiggs County.

 MRS. ASBELL DIES AT DANVILLE HOME

Danville, Jan. 23,----Mrs. Georgia Asbell, 80, died at the home of her daughter,
Mrs. Thomas Lee, at midnight Sunday night, following a long illness.
She was born and reared in Twiggs County, the daughter of Henry Davis and Mrs.
Caroline Glisson Davis.
Funeral services were conducted from Mt. Zion church at 11 o'clock Tuesday
morning by Rev. S. E. Townsend and Rev. W. T. Peacock.
Mrs. Asbell is survived by the following children: Mrs. Thomas Lee, Mrs. Hoyt
Waters, and C. V. Asbell, all of Danville; Mrs. Olin Ledbetter and L. Z. Asbell,
of Jeffersonville; Mrs. Mamie Giddens of Willacoochee; Mrs. Mercer Burns, E. E.
Asbell, and G. F. Asbell, of Macon; two step-children, Mrs. Minnie Byrde of
Macon and E. V. Asbell of Jeffersonville; two sisters, Mrs. Will Richardson of
Hawkinsville and Mrs. Lizzie Pritchett of Cochran.
