Elva Jane (maiden name Fowler) Baggarly was born 9-21-1901 and died 4-22-1959
(GA DC# 12419) and is buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Twiggs County. Note that
the spelling of the last name on her death certificate is Baggerly.

  Mrs. R. M. Baggarly

Funeral services for Mrs. R. M. Baggarly, 58, of 4246 Worsham Avenue,who died in
a hospital in Augusta at 2:20AM, Wednesday, were held in the Mt. Zion Baptist
Church at 3PM today.
The Rev. Sam Waldron officiated and burial was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Russell Lee, Benton Lucas, Emmett Rigby, Robert Hill, and
Quinton Hill.
Honorary pallbearers were Dan Fowler, F. D. Carden, Homer Chance, and J. C. Fowler.
Mrs. Baggarly, the former Miss Elva Jane Fowler, was born in Danville, the
daughter of Solomon Fowler and Mrs. Eugenia Arnold Fowler, and had lived in
Macon for one year. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Twiggs County.
Surviving are her husband; five daughters, Mrs. R. C. Thompson of Gordon, Mrs.
Leona Bond of Augusta, Mrs. Elizabeth Wilkes of Dublin, Mrs. Rosa Lee Teal of
Japan, and Miss Janet Baggarly of Macon; four sons, James Baggarly of Tacoma,
Wash., R. C. Baggarly of Macon, J. S. Baggarly of Germany, and Frank Baggarly of
Virginia Beach, Va.; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs.
Elmer Ham of Danville and Mrs. Sam Knight of Hawkinsville; step-mother, Mrs.
Essie Arnold of Danville; a half-brother, John Henry Fowler of Danville and a
half-sister, Mrs. Jesse Edge of Orlando, Florida.
Hart's Mortuary had charge of funeral arrangements.
