Henry Burton Chance was born 12-23-1911 and died 11-5-1993 (Ga. DC# 045534) and
is buried at Mt. Zion.

DANVILLE---Burton Chance, 81, of Route 1, died Friday at his residence. A
lifelong resident of Twiggs County, he was the son of the late John and Zilphia
Chance. He was the retired owner of Chance's Grocery in Danville and was a
former employee of Twiggs County. He was a member and deacon of Mount Zion
Baptist Chirch. Survivors: wife, Zemmie Mae Morrison Chance of Danville; son,
Allen Chance of Danville; stepchildren, Ed Outlaw of Danville, Hall Outlaw and
Betty Canady, both of Dublin and J. T. Outlaw and Peggy Williams, both of Macon;
sister, Nonie C. Smith of Danville; three grandchildren; 19 step grandchildren;
7 great-grandchildren; 16 step great-grandchildren.
Services: 3PM Sunday in Mount Zion Baptist Church near Danville. Burial: the
church cemetery. The Rev. Jeff Slaughter and Elder Franklin Bryant will
officiate. Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6 to 8PM today in
Allgood Memorial Chapel, Jeffersonville. The body will be placed in the church
an hour before services.
