Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary at 2pm today. The Rev. Clifton A. Forrester will officiate and burial will be in Cool Springs Cemetery. Mr. Collins, the son of J. L. Collins and Mrs. Mandy Hooks Collins, had lived in Macon for 33 years. He was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, the former Miss Eva Lamb of Macon; three daughters, Mrs. I. A. Ellis, Mrs. J. B. Beasley, and Mrs. F. C. Holland, all of Macon; four sons, Russell Collins of Macon, James and LeRoy Collins of Jacksonville, Fla., and W. R. Collins of Macon and Tallahasse, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; two brothers, George Chapman Collins of Macon and Raymond Collins of Danville; and two half-sisters, Mrs. Annie Fountain of Montrose and Mrs. J. L. Matthews of Norfolk, Va. Additional Comments: Daniel was born 9 Apr 1882. Georgia death certificate #22008.
