Her maiden name was Howell. Georgia DC # 32049. She is buried at Lucy Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery in Twiggs County. Her husband was Shedrick F. Cranford Mrs. Lona H. Cranford Funeral services for Mrs. Lona Howell Cranford 68, who died Monday Dec 25, in a Milledgeville Hospital following an illness of several weeks, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. The services were conducted by the Rev. William Elsberry and the Rev. Herman L. Everett. Burial was in the family lot in Lucy Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Cranford was born in Bleckley County and has lived here all of her life. She was a member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and was the widow of the late S.F. Cranford. She is survived by two sons, Bernard Cranford of Hawkinsville and Willie H. Cranford of Cochran; three daughters, Mrs. Lawton Hart and Miss Evelyn Cranford of Cochran and Mrs. W. F. Johnson of Hawkinsville; one brother, Mitchell Howell of Cochran; four sisters, Mrs. Nancy Padgett, Mrs. Sillr Sapp, Mrs. C.R. Evans, Sr and Miss Ada Howell, all of Cochran.
