Cranford Passes at Age of 62 Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Cary Baptist Church for S. Faulk Cranford, aged 62, who died Sunday monring in a Macon hospital. The services were conducted by the Reverend R. Lee Knowles of the Cochran Baptsit Church. Interment was in the Lucy Chapel Cemetery. The deceased is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lola H. Cranford, three sons, Chapman, Willie and Barnard Cranford of Cochran; three daughters, Mrs. Lawton Hart and Miss Evelyn Cranford of Cochran and Mrs. W.F. Johnson of Hawkinsville. Two brothers and two sisters also survive--W.C. Cranford, of Ocilla, and Daryl Cranford of Cochran' Mrs. Andrew Darsey and Mrs. Lena Betlone of Cochran. The pallbearers were Sam Padgett, W.L. Howell, R.L. Barlow, Lamar Evans, Johnnie Howell and Osborne Sapp. The flower girls were Sara Howell, Marie Davis, Juanita Davis, and Annie Ruth Barlow, T.W. Fisher and Son were in charge of the funeral arrangements. Additional Comments: Shedrick Faulk Cranford, born abt 1883 and died 6-17-1945 is buried at Lucy Chapel Cemetery in Twiggs County. Although the obituary says he died in a Macon hospital, his death certificate (#10853) is from Bleckley county. His wife, Lonie R. Cranford, maiden name Howell, is also buried there.
