(maiden name Grimsley) Floyd was born 3-25-1877 and died 12-27-1968 (Ga. DC #040002) and si buried at Prospect Cemetery in Twiggs County. Her parents, Griffin Charlie Grimsley and Malissia Floyd Grimsley are also buried there. From The Dublin Courier Herald 12-28-1968 Front Page Funeral Rites Mrs. Floyd In Twiggs County Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Floyd, 82, of Rt. 1, Danville, will be held at 3PM Sunday at the Prospect Methodist Church in Twiggs County. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Floyd died Friday in a Dublin hospital. A life-long resident of Twiggs County, she was the widow of the late E. O. Floyd of Twiggs County. She was also a member of Prospect Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, James C. Floyd of Chincoteague, Va.; three daughters, Mrs. Stella Brown and Mrs. Chole Floyd, both of Danville and Mrs. Inez Rice of Chesapeake, Va.; a brother, C. H. Grimsley Sr. of Danville and one sister, Mrs. Allie L. Stevens of Danville. Townsend Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The body will remain at the family residence until the funeral hour. Pallbearers will be Billy Grimsley, Charles Grimsley, C. G. Grimsley Jr., Sidney Brown, Lester Brown, and Avoy Williams.
