"Joe" Fowler was born 8-29-1884 and died 1-18-1962 (GA DC# 03393) and is buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Twiggs County. His wife, Mollie Robinson Fowler, as well as his parents, William H. Fowler and Mary Alice "Allie" Elizabeth Pope Fowler, are also buried there. From The Cochran Journal 1-25-1962 Joseph M. Fowler Funeral services for Joseph M. Fowler, 77, of Rte. 1, Danville, who died early Thursday morning at his home, were held Saturday morning at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. The services were conducted by Elder J. F. Little and Rev. Luke Moncrief. Burial was in the family lot in the church cemetery. Mr. Fowler was a lifelong resident of Twiggs County, a retired farmer, and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mollie Robinson Fowler; one son, William I. Fowler; ten grandchildren, Riley Fowler of Macon, Joe Fowler, Harold Fowler, William A. Fowler, and Frankie Fowler, all of Danville, Mrs. Floyd Hunnicutt of Lizella, Mrs. Johnnie Summerday of Orlando, Fa., Mrs. Wesley Watkins of Gordon, Mrs. Joe Little and Mrs. Jimmie Rogers of Danville. Honorary pallbearers were Earl Hamrick, H. C. Melton, Homer Chance, Tom Lee, Hugh McCallum, James Hamrick, Lester Brown, Olin Carden, and E. C. Sanders. Active pallbearers were Benton Howell, Bill Fowler, Billy Crutchfield, Quinton Hill, Sidney Brown, and Hubert Hunnicutt.
