and is buried at prospect Cemetery in Twiggs County.

 Charles Wesley Grimsley Sr.

DANVILLE---Charles Wesley Grimsley Sr., 70, of Route 1, died Sunday at his
residence. Born in Twiggs County, he was the son of the late Sallie F. and C. G.
Grimsley Sr. He was a retired employee of Robins Air Force Base and was a
retired farmer. He was a member and lay speaker of Prospect United Methodist
Church, the administrative board, Men's Club, and was a former steward and
Sunday School Superintendent. He was a former president of the Parent Teacher
Association, World War II Army veteran and was the first forest ranger for
Twiggs County. Survivors: wife, Betty Fowler Grimsley of Danville; children,
Charlene G. Holton of Jeffersonville, Mary Jane Grimsley, Christy Grimsley,
Julie Grimsley, Charles W. Grimsley Jr., and Chris Grimsley, all of Danville;
brothers, C. G. Grimsley Jr. and Billie H. Grimsley, both of Danville; and two
grandchildren. Services: 3PM today in Prospect United Methodist Church. Burial:
church cemetery. The Revs. Richard Trawick, J. Wesley Jones, and Elder Sammy
Bryant will officiate. Allgood Memorial Chapel in Jeffersonville has charge of
arrangements.
