Zion Cemetery in Twiggs County. From The Macon Telegraph 7-4-1963 Page 20 Elmer Lee (Pete) Ham Funeral services for Elmer Lee (Pete) Ham, 50, of Danville, who died Tuesday, will be held at 11AM Friday in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Twiggs County. The Rev. M. L. Moncrief, the Rev. W. Paul Jones, and Elder J. F. Little will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wallace NeSmith, John Wyatt Payne, Chester Wood, Lester Brown, Talmadge Wheeler, and Thomas Crutchfield. The deacons of Mt. Zion Baptist Church will constitute an honorary escort. Mr. Ham was a life-long resident of Twiggs County, the son of Jack Ham and Mrs. Carrie Stevens Ham. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Surviving are his widow, the former Miss Elizabeth Fowler, Danville; a daughter, Mrs. Earl Ard, Macon; a son, S-Sgt Lee Ham, Springfield, Va.; five grandchildren; three brothers, James F. Ham, Danville, Alva Ham, Hawkinsville, and Leonard Ham, Apalachicola, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. Hart's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
