Services will be held at 3pm today in Allgood Memorial Chapel in Jeffersonville. Burial will be in Prospect United Methodist Church in Twiggs County. The Rev. Wesley Jones will officiate. A native of Twiggs County, Mrs. Hasty was a homemaker and a member of Prospect United Methodist Church. Survivors include five daughters, Willie Maude Rickerson, Mildred Howell, Hilda Morris, all of Jeffersonville, Joyce Lucas of Danville, and Geraldine Bloodworth of Roberta; four sisters, Hazel Fowler and Lavera Rickerson, both of Danville, Annie Bell Stone of Jeffersonville and Dora Mae Floyd of Allentown; 25 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Additional Comments: Velma Lee was born 1 Sep 1911 to Harvey Levi Sauls and Mina Mae Unknown Sauls. Georgia death certificate #011936. Her husband was Platt Glynn Hasty who is also buried at Prospect UMC Cemetery.
