Hunter Johnson Dies After Long Illness Mr. James Hunter Johnson died at his home here on Friday afternoon at 1:45 November 22nd after an illness of several weeks with bright's disease. He underwent much suffering during the last few days before death. He was well known throughout the county and this section of Georgia having figured in politics a great deal. The news of his death was learned with much sorry to his many friends and acquaintances. He was an honored member of the Methodist church, also of Twiggs Lodge Master Masons and the local W.O.W. Camp. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. J. Hunter Johnson, three sons, H.L. Johnson, of Macon, Hunter Glenn of the 151st Machine Gun Battalion in France, and W. Frank Johnson of Jeffersonville and two daughters, Miss Reba Johnson of Washington D.C. and Miss Rosalin Johnson, of Jeffersonville. The funeral services were conducted from the Methodist Church on Sunday morning, November 24tgh at 10 o'clock. Rev. J.R. Jordon of Apalachee, GA conducting the services. After the services the body was taken in charge by the members of Twiggs Lodge of Masons and laid to rest in the City Cemetery. The following gentlemen acted as pall bearers: J.G. Roqmore, O.T. Chapman, J.W. Waters, B.S. Fitzpatrick Sr., Walker Jones and A.F.
