                            Mary Lee Knight

 HAWKINSVILLE --- Mary Lee Knight, 81, died Tuesday in a local hospital. Born 
in twiggs County, she lived in Pulaski County for most of her life. She was a 
charter member of Broadstreet Baptist Church in Hawkinsville and was a member 
of the Lucile Dees Sunday School Class. She was a retired inspector for the 
peanut plant in Hawkinsville and was a private duty nurse. Survivors: children, 
Velma McDuffie Roach of Atlanta and Mary Lou Sawyer of Hawkinsville; brother 
and sister, Lizzie Hamm of Warner Robins and John Henry Fowler of Danville; 
eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. Services: 4pm today in 
Clark Funeral Home, Hawkinsville. Burial: Orange Hill Cemetery, Hawkinsville.

Additional Comments:
Mary was born 18 Oct 1910 to Alfred Solomon Fowler and Eugenia Arnold Fowler. 
Georgia death certificate #043124. Her first husband was Russell Vance Lee Sr. 
who is buried at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Twiggs County, Ga. Her 
second husband was Samuel "Sambo" Knight.
