                      H. D. Lamb Dies In Stockade After Arrest
 A coroner's jury ruled that Henry D. Lamb, 49, Jacksonville, Fla., died 
yesterday in the city stockade of acute cerebral edema.
 Lamb, officer's said, was arrested early Wednesday at a local hotel on a 
drunk charge.
 J. D. Dukes, night warden at the stockade, said he last saw Lamb alive at 
2:30AM and, that at 4:50AM, he turned the light on at the barracks and found 
him dead.
 Dukes told the jury that Lamb was twice taken to the Macon Hospital. Once on 
Wednesday and again on Thursday night, Dukes said.
 Funeral services are still incomplete, pending the arrival of relatives.
 He was a meat cutter and formerly made his home in Macon. He was born in 
Twiggs County, Oct. 14, 1900, the son of C. E. Lamb and Mrs. Mary Meadows Lamb 
and was a veteran of World War I.
 Surviving are a son, Donald Lamb, USN San Diego, Cal.; parents, Mr. and Mrs. 
C. E. Lamb, Jeffersonville; three sisters, Mrs. Henry Faulk, Jeffersonville, 
Mrs. A. L. Waters, Macon, and Mrs. L. W. Arnold, Cleveland, Ohio; three 
brothers, P. R. Lamb, Macon, A. C. Lamb, USCG, Baltimore, Md., and John M. 
Lamb, Detriot, Mich.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
 Funeral arrangements will be announced by Memorial Chapel.

LAMB; Funeral services for Henry D. Lamb of Jacksonville, Fla., will be held
at 3 p.m. Monday November 28, 1949 in Memorial Chapel. Dr. J. R. Sammons will officiate.
Interment will be held at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church yard at Carey, Ga.
