(maiden name Asbell) Ledbetter was born abt 1899 and died 9-9-1965(GA DC# 026055) and is buried at New Richland Baptist Church Cemetery in Twiggs County. Her husband, Olin Ledbetter, is also buried there. Her father, George Robert Asbell is buried the Asbell/Lamb/Sanders Cemetery in Twiggs County. Her mother, Georgia Ann Davis Asbell, is buried at Mount Zion Cemetery in Twiggs County. From The Macon Telegraph 9-11-1965 page 2A Mrs. Effie Ledbetter COCHRAN---Funeral services for Mrs. Effie A. Ledbetter, 76, of Rte. 1, Jeffersonville, who died Thursday afternoon in a Macon hospital, will be held at 2:30PM Saturday at the New Richland Baptist Church. The Rev. E. N. Swinney and the Rev. Mobley Cross will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery. Mrs. Ledbetter was a lifelong resident of Twiggs County and a member of the New Richland Baptist Church. She was the widow of Olin Ledbetter. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. C. A. Conger of Macon; two sisters, Mrs. Thomas Lee and Mrs. Hoyt Waters, both of Danville; two brothers, E. E. Asbell and Horace Asbell, both of Macon; and two grandsons, Phillip and Allen Conger, both of Macon. The family is at the home of Mrs. Thomas Lee of Danville. The body will lie in state at the church from 2PM until time for services Saturday.
