(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net December 23, 2010, 6:51 am The Macon Telegraph 7-27-1972 Mrs. Lord Final Rites Today at 2 Mrs. Sara Wallace Lord of 8-A Twin Pines Apartments died early Wednesday after a lengthy illness at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carl B. Patterson, 2935 Victoria Circle. Funeral services will be today at 2pm in St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery. Mrs. Lord, a native of Macon, was the former Sara Frances Lamb and widow of Earl V. Lord. She was recently retired from Robins Air Force Base where she was a program control specialist in the Helicopter Division of the Directorate of Material Management. Mrs. Lord was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and was active in the Altar Guild. She is survived by her daughter and one grandson, Carl B. Patterson III; father, Henry S. Lamb of Macon; three nephews, Thomas L. Taylor of Portland, Ore., Robert E. Taylor and Steven J. Taylor, both of Atlanta. The family will be at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Carl B. Patterson, 2935 Victoria Circle, and suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society. Memorial Chapel is in charge.
