Lucas JEFFERSONVILLE, March 25.---Funeral services for Mrs. Lizzie Phillips Lucas, 72, who died here this morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. M. L. Pope, will be held at 3pm Monday. Elder E. D. Bryant will officiate at the rites in the Lucy Chapel Methodist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Lucas was a life-long resident of Twiggs County and a member of Cool Spring Primitive Baptist Church. She was the widow of Monroe Lucas. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Pope and Mrs. Robert E. Lee, both of Jeffersonville; three brothers, Jim Phillips and John Phillips, both of Danville, and Gene (Should be Jean) Phillips of Jeffersonville; a sister, Mrs. William Howell of Danville; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren. Fisher Funeral Home of Cochran is in charge of arrangements. Additional Comments: Lizzie was born 16 Jan 1884 to Kinch L. Phillips and Nancy J. "Nanny" Arnold Phillips.
