From The Macon Telegraph 3-16-1965 Page 2 Funeral Today For Mrs. Lucas Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie J. Lucas, 74, who died yesterday in a local hospital will be held at 3:30PM today in the Danville Baptist Church, where the body will lie in state from 3 to 3:30PM. The Rev. Lester Ethridge will officiate and burial will be in the Danville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Riley Fowler, Ralph Odom, Jimmie Floyd, Homer Wimberly, Tommy Lucas, and Clarence Hunnicutt. H. J. Chance, Frank Carden, Rowland Stevens, Warren Collins, Loyd Hayes, Joe Chance, Richmond Lamb, and M. H. Stevens Jr. will constitute an honorary escort. Mrs. Lucas, the widow of Willie Lucas, was born in Twiggs County, the daughter of Tobe Floyd and Mrs. Susie Arnold Floyd. She was a member of the Danville Baptist Church. Surviving are seven sisters, Mrs. E. R. Odom, Mrs. Riley Fowler, and Mrs. Clarence Hunnicutt, all of Macon, Mrs. I. A. Newby, Cochran, Mrs. J. P. Wimberly, Danville, Mrs. Reece Floyd, Jacksonville, Fla., and Mrs. Nead Lucas, Cochran; one brother, George Floyd, Danville; and several nieces and nephews. The family will be at the residence of W. T. Lee, 4361 Mikado Ave. Hart's Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements.
