His wife, Mary Alma Floyd Lucas, is also buried there. From The Macon Telegraph 10-26-1977 Page 8C Nead Lucas COCHRAN--Nead Lucas, 69, of Rte. 4, died Monday in a local hospital after a lengthy illness. Services will be held at 2PM today in Lucy Chapel United Methodist Church in Twiggs County. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Lucas, a native of Twiggs County, lived in Bleckley County 51 years and was a retired farmer. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Alma Floyd Lucas of Cochran; two sons, John T. Lucas of Cochran and Ralph Lucas of Baker, La.; a sister, Mrs. Lonnie Bell Lucas of Cochran; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild. The body will lie in state at the church for one hour and the family will be at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Lucas, Rte. 4, Lucas Road, Cochran. Mathis Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
