Methvin The Twggs County Citizen 12-5-1918 Front Page C.E. Methvin dies at Camp Merritt, NJ After a short illness of Spinal Menigitis Mr. Charlie E. Methvin died on last Friday afternoon at four o'clock at the Base Hospital at Camp Merritt, N.J. He had been in service since the 22nd of last July. He was thirty years of age, having been a member of one of the oldes families in Twiggs County. The remains were brought to Jeffersonville on Tuesday and carried to the City cemetery where the funeral was conducted by Rev. J.T.B. Anderson, pastor of the Jeffersonville Baptist Church of which Mr. Methvin was a member. Messrs W. M. Solomon, William Methvin, Paul Solomon, Jack Wall, W.W. Wood and W.S. Holomon acted as pallbearers. Mr. Methvin is survived by one sister. Mrs. J.S. Baber of Dry Branch, GA and five brothers; G.W. and T.E. Methvin of Jeffersonville, E.H. Methvin of the University of Texas, Leiland Methvin with the American Expeditionary Forces in France and Merrill Methvin of Dahlonega.
