Herbert H. Newby was born 12-30-1911 and died 11-25-1978 (Ga. DC# 037156) and is
buried at Mt. Zion.

 Herbert Newby

Services for Herbert H. Newby, 66, of 1319 Hillridge Drive, who died Saturday in
a local hopsital, will be held at 4PM today in Cool Springs Primitive Baptist
Church in Twiggs County. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Newby, a native of Twiggs County, lived in Macon for 30 years, was retired
from the Macon Fire Department after 25 years, a Baptist and a member of Woodmen
of the World.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie Dora Newby of Macon; a daughter, Mrs.
Sondra Keys of Macon; three sisters, Mrs. Aileen Hodges of Rutledge, Tenn., Mrs.
Alma N. Blount of Macon and Mrs. Marguerite Faulk of Jeffersonville; and two
grandchuldren.
The family may be reached at the residence of Mrs. Grover Keys, 3150 Holleman
Drive.
