                                       Robert A. Newton

 JEFFERSONVILLE--- Services for Robert A. Newton will be at 2pm Saturday in 
Jeffersonville Baptist Church with burial in Lucy Chapel Church Cemetery, 
Twiggs County. Newton died Wednesday in a Dublin hospital. Born in Boulder 
County, Colo., he was the son of the late John R. and Charlotte Cook Newton. He 
was a retired Marine Corps Master Sergeant and was a former prisoner of war. He 
was a Mason, a member of the Jeffersonville Masonic Lodge F&AM No. 133, and a 
member of the Jeffersonville Baptist Church.

 Survivors include his wife, Joyce B. Newton; children, Laura Newton of Denver 
and John Newton of Washington, DC; sister, Lorrine Palumbo of Temecula, Calif.; 
and three grandchildren.

 The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 tonight in Reece Funeral Home 
and may be contacted at the residence.

Robert was born 9 Feb 1921. Georgia death certificate #016233.
