Nobles, 73, of Route 3 Cordele, died Sunday afternoon in the Crisp County Hospital. A native of Twiggs County, Ga., she was the former Miss Minnie Lee Lamb, daughter of the late John R. Lamb and Mrs. Mary E. Partin Lamb. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. Her survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Earl Murphy of Cordele, Mrs. Iverson Pope, Mrs. Grover Holland and Mrs. Mack Carter of Thomaston; two sons, Kelley Nobles of Cordele and A. W. Nobles Jr. of Macon; and two brothers, J. Freeman Lamb of Cochran and Marion F. Lamb of Macon; twenty-two grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30pm at Cool Springs Church in Twiggs County, Ga. with the Rev. Elzie Bryant and the Rev. Ben Lord officiating. Burial will be in the Cool Springs Cemetery with Dekle Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Additional Comments: Minnie was born 31 Oct 1885. Georgia death certificate #27154.
