                          Clarence E. Phillips

 COCHRAN---Funeral services for Clarence E. Phillips, 48, who died at his home 
in Jeffersonville Thursday, will be held at 2pm Friday at Cool Springs 
Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Cecil Darity and the Rev. Sam Waldron 
officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

 Mr. Phillips was a lifelong resident of Twiggs County and was owner and 
operator of a grocery store in Jeffersonville for a number of years. He was the 
son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Willie Phillips of Twiggs County and was a member 
of Cool Springs Church.

 Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Gladys Moore Phillips; a daughter, Mrs. Larry 
Cobb; a grandson, Larry Scott Cobb, all of Jeffersonville.

 The body will be at Fisher Funeral Home until 1pm Friday when it will be taken 
to the church to lie in state.

Additional Comments:
Clarence was born 7 May 1914 to Willie Eason Phillips and Hattie Bell Pope 
Phillips. Georgia death certificate #03945.
