 Minter Lee "Buddy" Pope was born 4-5-1911 and died 6-1-1997 (Ga. DC# 024363)
and is buried at Lucy Chapel in Twiggs County.

JEFFERSONVILLE---Services for Minter Buddy Pope will be at 3PM Tuesday in Mount
Zion Baptist Church with burial in Lucy Chapel Church Cemetery. Pope, 86, died
Sunday, June 1, 1997, in a local nursing home. A lifelong resident of Twiggs
County, he was the son of the late John and Romie Carter Pope. The widower of
Mary Margaret Lucas Pope, he was a retired carpenter and was a member of United
Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 144 in Macon. He was a member of Mount Zion
Baptist Church.
Survivors include his brother and sister, Dick Pope of Milledgeville and Lillie
Mae Parker of Danville.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 tonight in Fisher Funeral Home in
Cochran.
