John Bryant Pope was born abt 1885 and died 1-17-1939 and is buried at Mount
Zion (Ga. DC# 2083).

John Bryant Pope

Funeral and burial service for John Bryant Pope, 55, were conducted on Wednesday
afternoon from Mt. Zion church by Rev. J.E. Townsend. Mr. Pope, a farmer, died
from a stroke of paralysis Tuesday night. He had lived in Twiggs county all his
life.

He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Ronie Carter and by the following
children; Mrs. Ollie Brown of Hawkinsville, William Eli Pope of Stevens Pottery
and M.L. and Edna Pope of Danville.

Pall bearers were: Moscus, Dud Zee, and Peru Carter, Frank Carden and Rufus Chance.
