Spears, 81, will be held at 3pm Friday in the Giddens Riverside Chapel, 116 Riverside Ave. with the Rev. Philip E. Taylor, pastor of the Wesconnett Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park. Mr. Spears of 5727 Ricker Rd. died Wednesday evening in a local hospital. He was born in Wilkinson County, Ga. and had lived in Jacksonville for 16 years. He was a member of the Wesconnett Baptist Church and the F&AM. All members of the Wesconnett Masonic Lodge are urged to meet at the Lodge at 1pm. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. T. C. Burch, Jacksonville Beach, Mrs. Joe E. Winburn, Jacksonville, and Mrs. John B. Witt, Key West; two sons, J. A. Spears and J. R. Spears, both of Jacksonville; seven grandchilden; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, the Rev. W. I. Spears, Bradenton, Fla.; three half-brothers, Charles Spears, Denver, Colo., Jim D. Spears of North Carolina, and Cutta Spears, Quitman, Ga.; one half-sister, Mrs. W. C. Lawson, Winter Haven, Fla.; and his step-mother, Mrs. J. M. Spears, Vienna, Ga. Pallbearers will be Joe Winburn, Charles Threlkeld, Barry McDonald, Theo Burch, Brooks Herman, and John B. Witt. Additional Comments: Wallace was born 27 Sep 1877. His wife was Hattie Lou Lamb Spears who is also buried at Riverside Memorial Park in Jacksonville, Fla.
