(maiden name Hamm) Thompson was born 7-19-1903 and died 5-27-1986 (GA DC# 018356) and is buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Twiggs County. Her husband, Lonnie Thomspon as well as her parents, Averett Union Hamm and Louisa M. Chance Hamm, , are also buried there. From The Macon Telegraph 5-29-1986 Page 4B Annie M. Thompson Annie M. Thompson, 82, of 657 Villa Esta Ave. died Tuesday in a local hospital after an extended illness. She was a retired Bibb County Children's Home matron. Services will be held at 2PM Friday in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary. Burial will be held at 3PM in Mount Zion Baptist in Twiggs County. The Rev. David Moseley will officiate. A native of Twiggs County, Mrs. Thompson lived in Macon since 1943. She was a member of Eastside/Northridge Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Gladys Kennington and Edith Mixon, both of Macon and Florine King of Union, Mo.; two sons, Hubert Thompson of Milledgeville and Hansel Thompson of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Sally Nobles and Lydia Stokes, both of Gordon; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
