(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net February 13, 2009, 12:18 pm The Macon Telegraph 2-13-09 Hoyt Jackson Waters, Jr . -JEFFERSONVILLE - Hoyt Jackson Waters, Jr., 90, of Highway 358, died peacefully February 11, 2009 at his residence. -Services will be held Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 2P.M. in Mount Zion Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Rev. Dwayne Beddingfield and Rev. Charles Asbell will officiate. -Mr. Waters was born October 24, 1918 in Danville, Twiggs County, GA, the son of the late Hoyt Jackson Waters, Sr. and Georgia Asbell Waters. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy for seven years serving as a Chief Petty Officer during World War II. Mr. Waters was a self-employed Contractor in Macon and after retirement he enjoyed gardening and fishing. He was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Waters Brice. Mr. Waters was a member of the Four County Exchange Club and a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. -Survivors include his wife of sixty-one years, Katie Monfort Waters of Jeffersonville; daughters, Jackie Waters and Kathy Willingham, both of Macon; grandsons, Benton Mobley of Jeffersonville, and Spain Willingham of San Francisco, CA. -Donations may be made to Hospice of Central Georgia or to Mount Zion Baptist Church. -The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday in the funeral home and from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday at 206 Beverly Place, Macon, GA. -Reece Funeral Home in Jeffersonville has charge of arrangements.
