White The Twiggs County Cutizen 2-28-1918 Front Page John G. White dies after short illness One last Friday morning, February 22, 1918 at 10 minutes past 1 o'clock, the death of John G. White occurred at the home of his parents, Mrs. and Mrs. J. White after a severe illness of one week with pneumonia. He suffered much during his short illness, but he bore all his sufferings with the courage and fortitude of the Christian young man that he was. For the past several months he was Assistanct Cashier of the Twiggs County Bank, where he was making an enviable progress in business. John G. was one of the most popular and most beloved young men of the town and county. He was a member of the Jeffersonville Baptist church, and has just passed his twenty first birthday. Funeral services were conducted at the city cemetery on Friday afternoon at three o'clcok, by Rev. J.T. B. Anderson, pastor the Jeffersonville Baptist church, in the presence of a large crowd of loving friends and relatives. He survived by his parents, Mrs. and Mrs. J.I. White, two sisters, Misses Cordelia and Helen, and one brother, James White, all of this place.
