THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF RICHARD STEPHENS Georgia Twiggs County: Be it remembered that on the twenty- third of August in the year of our lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty -Three. That I Richard Stephens of the County and State aforesaid being old and infirm in but of sound mind and memory and knowing that it is appointed unto all men once to die do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form as follows viz. 1st: It is my desire that my Executors herein after named to bury my remains in a decent and christian like manner. 2nd: I give and bequeath over and above an equal share of my Estate Two Hundred Dollars to my daughter Lydia Stephens to be paid out of the proceeds of my Estate by my executors herein after named. 3rd: It is my will and desire after my Just debts paid that the residue of my estate be sold disposed of by my executors whom I shall herein after appoint on a twelve months credit and the money equally divided between all my living children after my Decease. 4th: It is my Will and choice to appoint William Stephens of the County of Twiggs and James Stephens of Walton County my Executors and they are hereby appointed and constituted to put this my last Will and Testament Execution. In Testamony whereof I the said Richard Stephens hath hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal the day and year above written.
