King Rev. Pace was the son of Elizabeth Dutton Pace and Columbus Delaware Pace. He was licensed to preach in 1895, admitted on trial to the North Ga. Conference at Elberton, Nov. 1895, admitted into full connection at LaGrange, Nov. 1899. On April 5, 1897, Rev. Pace was married to Miss Maude C. Lambert of Grantville, Ga., who with their two sons, Gordon and Graves, survive him. For him the experience of salvation through the grace of God in Christ Jesus his Lord was absolutely central. He preached experience and lived it in daily conduct under varying trials and difficulties. His tired body fell across the bed in his last sleep at West Point, Ga. His funeral preached by Bishop Warren A. Chandler at Covington, Ga.
