That we bow with the humble submission to this dispensation of God, feeling assured that it is right and ordered in infinite mercy and goodness, however it may seem unjust. 2. That in the death of our dear sister, we are painfully aware that we have sustained a very sad loss -- the death of a wife so true and faithful, of a mother so tender and self-sacrificing, of a Christian so steadfast and zealous, of a friend so constant and unselfish, and a neighbor so kind and generous, could not be regarded other than a great calamity--not only to the immediate family, but to the community at large. 3. That we see in this bereavement an admonition to us who are still spared, to be more faithful, more diligent and more consecrated to the service of our Master. 4. That our sympathies and prayers be tendered our dear brother and motherless children in this time of their deep sorrow. 5. That a copy of these resolutions be furnished the bereaved family--a copy be spread upon our church-book, and a copy be sent to the Christian Index for publication. Bessie Roberts, Carrie Jordan, Fannie Atwell, Committee. Adopted by the church in conference, May 9th, 1891. T. J. Beck, Mod. Jno. Atwell, Clerk, Brushy Creek Church.
