FITZGERALD.-- It has pleased our heavenly Father to take from us our sister in 
Christ, Mrs. Harriet E. Fitzgerald, who, after months of intense suffering, was 
called to rest August 30, 1906, in her seventy-fourth year.  To sister 
Fitzgerald we could truthfully apply the proverb, "She looketh well to the ways 
of her household and eateth not the bread of idleness."

Every service that could promote the comfort and well-being of her family was 
freely and cheerfully given as long as she had strength to labor.  One of her 
pastors said: "What would I do without sister Fitzgerald.  My wife is an 
invalid, and can do nothing.  She brings the food from her table to feed her.  
She takes home the material and brings it back ready-made into clothes to put 
on the children, and is my most helpful friend."

Sister Fitzgerald has been a consistent member of the Baptist church since 
1850.  She leaves an aged husband and three sons to mourn her loss, and those 
sons she carried on her heart continually to the Lord, that they might be 
delivered from evil.

Resolved 1st.  That we submit resignedly to the will of God, knowing that He 
doeth all things well.

2d.  That we tender the bereaved family our sincere sympathy, and commend them 
to the loving Savior in this hour of sorrow.

3d. That a copy of these resolutions be furnished the family; also, recorded on 
the church book and published in The Christian Index.
