Resolutions of Providence Church.

Hugh Buchanan McKoy, son of J. C. and A. E. McKoy, was born March 18, 1892.  
Hugh jointed Providence church by experience in August, 1904.  He was kind, 
self-sacrificing and affectionate.  Anticipating his parents' wishes, he was a 
dutiful son, and had many friends, for he was lovable.  A short, sweet life 
here ended February 15, 1906.

We are persuaded to say: "He is not dead, but sleepeth."  We are reminded just 
here of Paul's words:  "For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain."

Resolved, 1. That the church has lost a lamb from the flock, and the community 
has lost a son of promise.
2.  That we, with gratitude to God for this beautiful life, bow in humble 
submission to His will.
3.  That to the family we send our sympathy.
4.  That these resolutions be placed on the church record, a copy furnished the 
family and copies to the Index and Herald and Advertiser.
