This old photograph shows seven police deputies (no badges on their hats), 
standing in front of a city hall or courthouse that has elaborate columns and 
stone foundations. It was in the papers of Athens (GA) Police Chief Charles 
Emory Seagraves (1877-1934), who was chief from 1932-34, donated to the Athens-
Clarke County Police Department by his daughter Edna Seagraves (now deceased). 

A local collector has determined that this photo was not taken in Athens, 
Georgia, and there is no indication on the photo where it came from.
