He had no widow, but the Pension File named children living in 1853: Joseph born about 1803, Enoch, Thomas, and Nancy who married Benjamin Cochran Joseph drew land in the 1820 Lottery; he drew land in Gwinnett Co 1-26-1824 and Irwin Co 9-4-1827. Sarah Matilda Collins, wife of Banister Cochran, was dead in 1853 and is not identified as a daughter. Benjamin and Banister Cochran were brothers and probably married sisters, however no document has been found that confirms that Joseph was Sarah Collins' father. No evidence of a will in Morgan or Upson Co, through Upson Co probate records.
