Lindsay Nov 26, 1795 - May 22, 1870 (son of Col John Lindsay of Revolutionary War) Nancy Fowler Houghton Lindsay Jun 24, 1794 - Jun 23, 1875 (daughter of James Houghton) (wife of J.C.W. Lindsay) (married Nov 26, 1817 in Greene Co by Rev. Dr. Lovick Pierce) It is thought that other Lindsay family members may also have been buried here -- but with no remaining marker. NOTES: 1850 Census J.D.W. Lindsey 56 Nancy 17 A.R. 15 Lucius J 15 Benjamin 13 Deed: Sept 22, 1822 John J. Harper to J.W.C. Lindsey, Monroe, lot in 11th District. John D. W. Lindsey drew in the 1827 and 1832 Lottery while living in the 588 District of Upson. He was one of the Trustees for the Union Hill Academy formed in 1833.
