The church burned down in the late 1800's. Location: South on US 19 about 10 miles to Martin Church Road. Cemetery is right. Abandoned and overgrown. NOTE: A couple of these burials was earlier than 1867...so either the church was organized earlier, or the cemetery was used by family members prior to the organization of the church. This would have been in the Black Ankle District #494. There is also a Martin Creek HANCOCK, Missy Irene b. July 25, 1880 in Thomaston, GA d. Apr. 21, 1907 Thomaston, GA (she is the daughter of William Madison Ellington and Mildred Julia Leola Cox) Married to William Robert Hancock Dec 21, 1898. She is buried in the Martin Church yard cemetery. (I have not been able to locate a grave site) Carrie Idelia Ellington b. Oct 13, 1884 Thomaston, GA d. Mar 9, 1911 Thomaston, GA (sister of Missy Irene Hancock) It would be nice if there is a cemetery list of all that are buried here. I was told that special permission had to be obtained for her to be buried here. ============== Ansley, Rev. Abel April 18, 1810 (Warren Co) - March 2, 1894 (son of Rev.
