Wilborn DOB: Dec. 23, 1906 DOD: Feb. 27, 1999 1980 Nathaniel Cornelius (BUD) Birdsong Thomaston-- Nathaniel Cornelius (Bud) Birdsong, age 72 of Route 5, Thomaston, died at the Upson Co. Hospital on Thursday night, Aug. 21, 1980. Funeral Services were held at the Coggins Funeral Home Chapel at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 23 with the Rev. Leo Burgess and Jimmy Birdsong officiating. Interment was in the Southview Cemetery. Coggins Funeral home were in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Birdsong was a life long resident of Upson Co. He had been an electrician for Ruffin Electric Co. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gracie Birdsong of Thomaston; one daughter, Mrs. Betty Joyce Youngblood of Sarasota, Fla.; one step daughter, Mrs, Mrs. R. M. Fordham of College Park, Ga.; two brothers, O. K. Birdsong and Joe Birdsong, both of Thomaston; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survive. Birdsong 11/24/1923- 2/22/1986 ============= Mr. Charles David Maddox, age 27, of Pasley Street was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Upson Co. Hospital on Sunday, June 20, 1982 from injuries received in an automobile accident. Mr. Maddox was a life long resident of Upson County and a self-employed carpenter. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Rose Maddox: two brothers, Paul Maddox both are from Thomaston, GA, and Winston Maddox of Macon. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, June 22, 1982 in Clark's Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Kent assisting. Coggins Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Burial was in Southview Cemetery.
