Know all men by these presents that we Cuthbert S. Collier and Charles V. Collier are held & firmly bound unto the Honorable, the justices of the inferior Court of said County, sitting for Ordinary purpose, and that the successors in office in the sum of five hundred dollars for which payment will & truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators firmly by these presents, sealed with our seals and dated this 8th day of January 1839- The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the Court aforesaid has this day bound unto the said Cuthbert S. Collier, Orphan of said County by the name of William M. Boyers, son of Henry Boyers of eight years until he shall arrive at the age of twenty-one years.- Now if the said Cuthbert S. Collier shall treat, use and deal with the said orphan equally to the law in such cases made and provided them the above obligation to be void or else remain in full force and virtue.
