Georgia Upson County    
To the Hon J.E.F. Matthews Ordinary of said County:
The petition of Harmon Jimmerson of said County
shows: -1st That he is the uncle of Harvey Jimmerson
a minor child who now resides with the petitioner
and he so resided with and been cared for by the
petitioner for the last three years. 2nd Petitioner
further shows that J. C.  Jimmerson the father of
the Harvey Jimmerson abandoned his family about
twelve years ago and has not been heard of since
that time and that the mother of said child is now
dead and was at the time petitioner took said child.


3rd Petitioner futher shows that Harvey Jimmerson is
a miner about 13 years old and is without any
property and also without a legally constituted and
appointed guardian and that petitioner desires to
have said child bound to him until he attains the
age of 21 years of age because of his destitute and
dependent condition your petitioner agreeing to care
for support and educate said Harvey Jimmerson as the
law in such cases requires and also to enter into
such articles of agreement as your honor may
require.


Wherefore petitoner prays that the usual citation be
published or posted at the county courthouse in said
county and that copies served upon Madison Jimmerson
and Allen L. Jimmerson who are the nearest adult
relatives and who reside in said county and also
Callaway Jimmerson an adult relative of said Harvey
Jimmerson who resides in Pike County Ga.

that the facts setforth in the foregoing petition

Georgia Upson County,   Office of Ordinary of said
county Harvey Jimmerson being a minor residing in
said county whose father is now dead or has
abandoned him and whose mother is dead and Harmon
Jimmerson having made application to me to have said
minor bound to him as provided by law notice is
hereby given that I will pass upon said application
at the hour of ten o’ clock A M on the 14th day of
Februrary 1907 at my office at the courthouse in
said county and all persons interested are hereby
called upon then adn there to show cause why said
minor should not be bound out as prayed for in said
application.

Ordinary's Office Upson County Ga. Jan. 22nd 1907
Ordered that W. C.  Hightower a good and reputable
citizen of Upson County be and he is hereby
appointed guardian ad litem for said Harvey
Jimmerson to act for him in this proceeding and that
he be served with a copy of this petition and
citation and also this order.
